Back Home from HK

I'm back from HK last night. It was too exhausted and tiring from a short flight. It's just 1 hour back to back. I couldn't sleep longer on the plane because I tried to nap but I was too tired. You know, I really miss going back to HK especially Disneyland. That is the most exciting for us. It is a great memories to remember the things we had it there. We had a great time there even we have unlimited time. We do traveled a lot the place in HK. We visited MongKok (Night Market) and the Central(City). We buy few stuffs in MongKok because it's too heavy for us to carry all the things that we can buy. In the city, we just roam around but we don't have much time for us to roam in because we are going back to disneyland for a ride that we didn't try it. The story will be continued tomorrow because I'm really exhausted. Pictures will come up SOON.

Pray for the souls in China and Winner of American Idol

To feel so helpless;


I try not to keep track of news concerning the earthquake in China. Not because i choose to be heartless, on contrary, it breaks too much of my heart. I have this outrageous and consistent urge to join the rescue teams and do whatever it takes to make it easier on those people. Hell, i want to get to the bottom of the fucking rubbles and bleed like an idiot trying to dig survivors out. If i didn't have any responsibilities, i would sign up in a heartbeat.

There was one particular story out of many that made me want to weep. A woman was found under a collapsed building, lifeless. When the rescuers finally managed to get to her, they found a baby boy bundled in a blanket underneath her body. Fortunately, he was simply sleeping and still alive. His mother, out of the most amazing ability to love and protect, managed to save him. And beside him laid a cellphone, with a text message telling him that if he managed to live through the disaster, that she loved him.

Bless her spirit and thank god for the baby's amazing survival. What a heroic legacy she left. And i would never hesitate to do the same. As any mother would die to protect what is most precious to them.

I pray for all that had perished in such a painful tragedy. And i pray for those still fighting for their lives. And most of all, for those missing to finally be found. I wish i could be there to lend every strength i have to those who need it. Sadly, i can only close my eyes and wish for the impossible; that it had never occured at all. I pray for all.

Redo the business plan

Again, this time we(karen, tina, me and jen) are going to redo the work of business plan because of low grades. My professor told us to give us another chance to raise the grades up. Same with other classmates who have low grades. Although, we are doing our work hard as we can. The Marketing in the business plan is wrong so we are asking someone to help us on how to make a professional survey. *so sad* Tina told me "How can you find a marketing teacher?" They all looked at me very seriously. I still cannot understand why they feel so down. It is because they were not paying attention on what the professor says. They always says "I know the answers" but their answers is wrong. *so frustrated* Ayyy, I should work with them later at 3pm to meet Jen in the internet. See you later!

Yes, Tita Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan is my aunt. She's the daughter of my lolo Tony Ferrer. First cousin of my dad kaya she's my relative. :) KC CONCEPCION is not my relative but her stepfather is the brother of Tito Anthony Pangilinan. The Pangilinans Family are Born-Again. Tita Maricel converted her religion into a Born-Again. Yun na. We respected them their decision by getting married into a Christian. :)

Great party of the day!

Yesterday, it was fascinating party ever seen. It's my lola Florencia Agustin-Laxa, aunt of my grandfather. She celebrated her 90th birthday with her family and friends. The party was located at EDSA Shangri-la Hotel at the Garden Ballroom at 7pm. First, they started the mass and then party all night. Lola (means "Grandmother")Florencia is a teacher from San Francisco, Pampanga. She married to Lolo Piding Laxa at the age of 35. The eldest son is Rico Laxa, he is politician in Pampanga or here. He is the one who set the party for his dear mother. Lola Floreng hardly taking care of her 3 children was left behind by her husband, Lolo Piding. The younger son, Virly, is a mechanical engineer and the youngest daughter, Minia. Minia was never married and has taken care of her mother whom Lola Floreng has taken care them for the past of 50 years and has lost their father. My father's side comes from Macabebe, Pampanga. Mostly lives in San Francisco(I am not sure if this is right one). I was stunned that Lolo Rico spend the half of his million pesos to pay everything for the party of Lola Floreng. He invited the highest performer is Rachelle Ann Go, Kitty Girls and the child singer who won the contest where Sarah Geronimo was hosted. The emcee is Tita Mutya and Margareth Wilson, both are former beauty queen. Tita Mutya is the daughter of Lolo Tony Ferrer, brother of my grandfather was semi-retired actor. She has sister, Tita Maricel is also actress and host. Everybody is welcomed to the party and they are all smiled whom they can see other relatives from different areas. It's like a Grand Reunion for the Laxas. I haven't seen my cousins for the past of 9 years. We haven't seen them because they are no longer LAXA anymore. They are broken family and I don't know why they do that even we cannot see each other. I cannot understand them. Some live far away from us. We lost our communication and we don't know where they are. It's okay for us to live in the future and to remember them in our hearts. I am certified LAXA and everybody is welcoming me and my family to enter the world of LAXA. You know my great grandmother is half chinese. I don't know if I have a relatives who are chinese but they are born to become a Filipino.

Summer Class is over

Yes. I'm all done with the thesis paper and I'm off to set to vacation on going to Hong Kong with my family for 4 days and 3 nights to keep us relax away from stress. It's been 1 month to finish this. I'll be flying there on May 26-29. :) I can't believe that my defense today is over. I wasn't participated on speaking in front of the panelist because I have to be able to read all their business plan about their product called TropX. I joined them for the summer so that I will not be panic if I cannot be alone. The rules are supposed to be added the new member each group. Actually, it's okay. They always argue about the text messages that we couldn't understand and to confirm the place that we can meet each other. I cannot believe what they are doing. They didn't text me where they are. The problem is they don't have enough load. Groups should always contact each other right? I was the one texting them where they are and I get so mad and sometimes they don't get what I mean. Texting is too hard for us to communicate. Now, I'm relieved that my work with the logo is perfect for the product. Remember the picture I show it to you from below on the old post. They like it and they are very happy with my work because they know that I graduated from Computer Technology last March 2005 for 3 years as a Associate degree. I am so happy with my skills that I can work at. I am going back to school to get the subjects for the first semester this June on May 19. I still missed my classmates back in school. Everybody greeted back and wave back at me. They all good to me. Yes, I am older than them. I been that school for almost 7 years waiting to get the diploma next March 2009. Great news!

I have to change the layout to a better photoblog. I still do not have any new pictures this whole summer. Was very busy with work. I tried it but I failed it as a photographer. I still do not have enough clients this day because I am too busy with my college years.

Being a senior, it's too hard for me to adjusted with work and studies. I really miss going back to school and take more pictures I want. Yes, I randomly taking a pictures with my friends who turn to become a great model. They were very happy with their new career.

I sprained my right ankle due sitting in restaurant and I bend my leg to be folded. When I stand up, I walk too fast and I feel I was in pain because of muscle is like a plumping from the heart. I think it's from the veins whom I sprained. I couldn't walk too far although I cried a lot because it's still painful.


Now, I'm getting better. Removing the bandage and I'm excited that I can walk freely. :) Please come back for the latest news!!

A Nutshell Review: Iron Man

With a little tinge of shame and regret, my rare dalliances with the Iron Man character stemmed from a few one off comic books, as well as occasions during the teenage years of spending time in the arcade with those Marvel games, where Iron Man was one of my preferred characters because it came together with his incredible arsenal of weapons from repulsor beams to this gigantic cannon which accompanied the execution of some complex combo moves. There's something sexy about the red and gold suit of armour, and having an array of weapons at the disposal of a player, makes perfect sense for variety in dispatching your enemies. This may irk the fervent fans of Iron Man, but face it, the superhero belonged to Tier B where superheroes are concerned, languishing behind easily recognizable peers who already have movie after movie being made. But thanks to the advancement in digital technology, bringing Iron Man to life no longer consisted of the prospect and worrying thought of having a man running about in a rubber suit passing it off as metal, the way Ultraman would have been done, complete with mechanical clicks and whirrs as sound effects to try and fool the visual sensory. Here, we have a very detailed rendering of the entire design from scratch to final modification, and we're in at every step of the way, with many cheeky and sometimes a tad implausible scenes just for cheap laughs thrown in. I thought Iron Man the story worked because of stark (pardon the pun) similarities with Batman Begins, also an origin story which took its time to dwell on the man behind the suit, nevermind at the sacrifice of having less action sequences, or by not giving the fans what they want through the showcase of more than the basic powers. Advanced capabilities can always find room in the sequel, and as the first movie used to establish its characters, I felt that it succeeded, given too that it had a cast of capables (just like Batman Begins had) to pull the movie through without resorting to over the top and campy performances, starting of course with the lead in Robert Downey Jr. In a nutshell, Downey is Tony Stark through and through. His affinity for the character shines, and no doubt it bore some parallels between his own personal, and Stark's life in the narrative future when he hits the bottle. He was allowed to become a Two-Face of sorts, on one hand being and later acting out his flamboyance self whose mission in life was the continuation of his father's legacy of Stark Industries, a weapons conglomerate, versus his personal mission in ridding his own weapons from the hands of the bad guys, now updated to be freedom fighters in the Middle East. The dialogue contained within each scene of Stark's, except perhaps during captivity, is full of one-liners done in double quick time, you probably would think it boiled down to a whole host of natural ad-libbing. But while Starks spends significant amount of time in his unsecured basement building his masterpiece, his human interaction come in the form of faithful secretary Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) who actually, for the first time I admit, looked really good on screen as Stark's most trusted aide, bringing about some serious spark of sexual tension and chemistry between the two characters of opposite sex, more so than any other comic book movie I have seen. And good friend from the air force Jim Rhodes (Terrence Howard) complete the circle of trust who knows of Stark's secret identity, and you'd be keeping your fingers crossed at the toss of a teaser of a certain War Machine appearance should the sequel be out. Who's the main villain in the movie? It points the finger at Corporations, or at least here, the weapons manufacturers and the shady deals that go through in the name of profit, the sole objective for any corporation's existence. And Jeff Bridges, in a rare villainous role, got to personify that greed and wrestle for absolute power just like the trailer already suggested. While his performance is refreshing as he disappears behind the ball head and bushy beard, you could see his motivation and how the plot would have been developed to introduced the ultimate fodder for Iron Man to duke it out in a, sad to say, ordinary finale which any audience would probably be able to stay a step ahead. As mentioned earlier, there are plenty of similarities with the Dark Knight of Gotham in Christopher Nolan's reboot, but more so because of properties inherent with the likeness between Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark. Both are incredibly wealthy to devote time outside of the day job to pursue their "hobby", both have to suffer personal tragedies in order to wake up to the cruel world, and in the movie, both fall prey to the corporate raider type, spend time perfecting their suit of war, have assistants they would trust their lives with, and of course save them from impending doom, and a finales set at their facilities. But Iron Man is still a special effects extravaganza offering a thrill ride especially when he goes into battle mode, and without a doubt, Robert Downey Jr probably should be credited for raising the profile of this once Tier-B character, to perhaps becoming more recognizable now, and obviously, expanding the fan base of this weaponry filled suit of metal, which of course, in this origin movie, we were only given a glimpse of its potential. can everyone now spell sequel and clamour for more please? Iron Man has set the bar for the other upcoming comic book movies to try and surpass this summer season!

Nagsprained ang right ankle ko and couldn't be able to walk. I walk too slowly eh. :) Pero I am still fine as of now but still my right ankle kills me haha. :)
